I'd prefer to see him run for Senator and knock off Hillary. Then he'd deserve to be president.

As I said, it was a selfish opinion. New York state has a lot of problems. The list of people capable of solving them is short. Giuliani is on top of that short list.

As far as Senate, Hillary can't do too much damage to New York State or to the country. She is 1 in 100, or 1%, and being in a minority, divide that 1% by a factor of 2 or 10 to measure her influence. Governor of New York is a much more influenial person, especially for New Yorkers.

As far as presidency and the national Dem party, I don't really mind their confusion and Hillary as a figure head. With her being there, there is not much room for a talented, competent new Democrat leader to emerge.
