07:38 KLAC KLA-Tencor started with a Buy at Wells Fargo; tgt $55 (45.30 ) Wells Fargo initiates KLAC with a Buy and $55 tgt. Firm thinks the time to own KLA-Tencor is now, near the end of the qtr. Firm says investors anticipate broad changes in industry order momentum 6--9 months before they occur, and they project that order momentum will improve within that timeframe. Firm expects Semicon West (July 11-15) to be a catalyzing event, and thinks any negative discussion about orders would lead to the conclusion that a bottom has been reached, which is a positive.
