Rove/UW strategy for reelection worked fine. They are less good and effectively governing. They always alienate the libs and thats ok, as they are cons. But when they start alienating middle america on issues like the war, stem cell, bolton, nuke solution on judges, delay(not his fault but rubs off) and SS privatization (thats what it was seen as), it becomes very hard to have a successful two years. Bush has adopted sort of a rose garden strategy where he seems to only talk to supporters and fails to recognize some of the more cogent argments of the political center. mike

However, I always liked Ike.

The owner of a mexican eatery nearby has a collection of political stuff including "I Like Ike" buttons.
