Long haul non stop flights have a market place to serve.

It's a small market segment. Boeing is betting that AirBus can't sell 80 planes a year into it. For an airline to succeed with it, I think they should cut the number of passengers down and spread out the seating. If they do that on the Pacific flights and upgrade the seating to all "business class" they can fill the plane. Otherwise, for the same seating as the 767, people will choose the smaller plane.
