There was an article in the NYTimes the other day about the Long Island Railroad with a rush hour picture showing the middle seat on three seaters empty, with folks choosing to stand instead. LIRR is ordering new cars with 2 across seating instead of the 3 accross opposite 2 across that now exists. I remember a trip to London once sandwhiched between a fat smelly women and a 6'6 guy. I still get the shakes when i think about that trip. mike
