But many conservatives in his state seem to like him. He seemed to be working really well with Republican controlled state congress, unemployment for the state is lowest of any. Besides tax increase is there anything that middle america will not like him if he were to run for president ?

He's a tax raiser. typical tax and spender

He's a democrat, but he's better than many of them. I didn't vote for him, but I'd prefer him over a lot of the national figures in the Democratic party.
