Frankly, I'll take Palast's factual insights and hard hitting reporting to your soft-edge namby-pambyism any day.

There's an old joke about the MSM. After they were part of the conspiracy to dupe the American people into the very unwise attack on Iraq, one wag quipped about the media and liars in the White House:

"You'd think that after Kennedy lied about the missile crisis, Johnson lied about the Tonkin Gulf, Nixon lied about Watergate, Reagan lied about the Contras, Bush 41 lies about the incubators, Clinton lied about Monica that, maybe, just maybe the media would be a little less credulous when it came to Junior. But no, the media are spreading the official manure just as thick as ever."

You may think Palast is bitter, I think he's a hard-boiled realist and more often than not right on the money with his insights and analysis.

And I think you are crazy for thinking the MSM will ever lift a finger to fight George Bush. The world doesn't work that way. The last great investigative reporting that came out of the Washington Post was when? 32 years ago. Real reporting is dead in the MSM. The country's best current investigative reporter is probably Seymour Hersh. He was so good the New York Times fired him. That tells you all you need to know about the MSM.

Bitter? WE ALL SHOULD BE BITTER THAT THE MSM AND THE WHITE HOUSE ARE TWIN FRAUDS!
