Milton Friedman knows perfectly well that deficits do not curb governmental spending.

The government can eliminate income taxes and all other explicit tax levies - and still continue to spend ever larger amounts of money on credit by utilising the Monetarist Tax which devalues all currency.

While Friedman is a dishonest rascal, prone to telling any number of lies to help his pals, you're mistaken if you think he doesn't know the truth. He knows perfectly well that deficits do not curb governmental spending. After watching Geoge W. Bush's deficit spending extravaganza, this should be obvious - even to you.

Reading ever more of Friedman's simplistic tripe won't aid you in understanding this.

I don't know anything about Friedman's "politics" but this statement is demonstrably false:

"Deficits are the only thing that keeps this Congress from spending more" says Friedman.
