That they could not convince the other members to legalize FRENCH and French only as the EU language of choice.

Yup. The EU has hit a snare that eventually will pass. And its not surprising the snare is the French....such a facile people but who have the best bread and the best sauces and the best desserts. In any case, its too late to turn back now.......the EU is real and running and it won't be stopped.
