the 60 minutes show the school district had no money to fund anything. the schools were falling apart. the roofs leaking, the walls , concrete turning to dust. it was just awful and right next door was a resort area getting tons of tax money.

if a community doesn't have any money to support schools how do they support charter schools. the states and federal gov should step in , perhaps rezone districts, change the way funds are given to various school districts.

take teacher salaries, a teacher in philly may make 1/2 as much as a teacher in suburbs. Is that the right way to bring our children up and make this a stronger country? Our system is failing in more ways than one and no one is really doing much about what needs to be changed.
