Nixon was using the FBi as a dirty tricks outfit to attack his own political enemies. Remember Nixon had Kerry followed by the FBI for two years (proving JK was absolutely clean and a moderate) Nixon deserved to be outed by Felt, even though Felt himself was not squeaky clean. Bush-Cheney have been trying to do the same thing with the FBI and CIA but have encountered resistence. This will probably lead to more Deep Throats. If Bush were smart he'd withdraw the Bolton nomination. That guy is a big can of worms.
