1) Nixon ended the Vietnam war WITHOUT 20,000 GI's getting shot in the back as they withdrew.

After it was apparent that this was the only and best course of action.

2) Nixon's genius combined with Nixon's patriotism (no Dem has possessed EITHER for four decades) Laid the groundwork for the collapse of the Soviet Union and the survival of the free world.

Pure Blah Blah .... (didn't he coddle with dictators like Yahya Khan who was solely responsible for Genocide of reported 1 million people in his own country and Nixon did not say a word)

The Marxist/Leninist anti-American domestic enemy HATED Nixon for the achievments listed above. They got their captive Democrat party and their lap dog anti-American media to go after him-and they got him.

Nixon was Marxist/Leninist and commie lover who loved Dictators and China to death

Nixon's only failure, as Gordon Liddy said years ago, was a lack of ruthlessness. He should have fired the guys who screwed up, and burned every tape ever recorded in the Oval Office. For those failures alone he deserves blame, and for nothing else...

Ruthless he was. Breaking of the law was not anathema to him. Stupid also he was. Jew hater also he was. His list of stupidity is endless. His Brilliance as many Americans of both left and right see it is not as sparkling if dissected. Probably he comes as intelligent because of lack lustre presidents before and after him (i.e LBJ and Ford)

My favorite was Operation Linebacker II, that forced the North Vietnamese to the negotiating table. Why Johnson and McNamara failed to bomb North Vietname right at the beginning and continuously is beyond me. Ford should have bombed them when N. Vietnam broke the 1972 Peace Treaty.
