Frank, I followed you into GW after a look at their recent performance and guidance, lack of rig availability and the general bullish stance I hold on oil and gas. Do you have a sell target? Could GW get into double digits? TA ken

Frank, due to it's relative laggard position, I've loaded the boat on NBR at 57.73 this a.m.....based on CL and NG prices holding up after the wkly reports,....it kept me worried all day on it's unexplainable pullback to low 57's, but it's looking better now. Will hold until I see reason to put a portion into PTEN based on relative price recoveries of the two. Am going to stay in them until I see a dip of about 2 - 3% dependent on concurrent conditions. IOW I'm betting we've seen the bottom of this correction on these drillers.

Frank, I am still riding with you on PTEN:

Message 20571691

Last added more shares at PTEN's last high.

Fwiw, you got off this one (I believe), but I am holding on:

I'll consider GW, but stock prices seem high to me for a fundamentalist, even though business prospects look very good.
On the one hand, it's been a cyclical business, maybe still is. That makes buying around these levels scary to me. Had that same queasy feeling about PTEN though, and that was at lower prices.

OTOH, maybe the business prospects in the sector are so good as to extend the cycle (boom years) for quite a while - thus maybe propping and/or propelling the stock(s).
