You don't seem to be very clear on the concept of impeachment.

Okie-dokie, let me try this just once.

Impeachment is a sort of criminal prosecution only it's done by Congress. It starts in the House of Representatives, which "brings" (presents) "Articles of Impeachment" (sort of like an indictment) to the full House, for a trial, and then a vote.

No Articles of Impeachment were ever presented to Congress. There were Articles of Impeachment in the Judiciary Committee, but they were never presented to the House of Representatives. Nixon resigned before it got that far.

Why? Was he impeached?
No. He resigned first. A sitting President cannot be arested ot indicted and comsequently cannot be convicted of a crime. Once Nixon resigned, this was no longer true. He had committed crimes in office as President and could then be indicted and tried criminally for them. Hence Ford's pardon "for any and all crimes committed while in office."
