Romney made a career ending move during the Presidential primaries when he said he had been "brainwashed" about Vietnam.

I'd forgotten that.

I do recall that he'd lost a leg, I believe in WWII. He used to wear a prosthesis. I was quite young at the time I met him.

In a fine political vitz, I think it was McCarthy who added "that a light rinse would have done the trick".
