The important thing (at least as far as figuring out what people really mean when they say 'conservative') is knowing that all these different --- sometimes contradictory --- definitions are out there.

(Interesting that you accept all the flavors as valid 'conservatives', except for the 'religious conservatives'... which some would claim are the dominant flavor influencing our politics right now.)
