LB, I can understand her wishes. It is, or was, the custom of Jews to not embalm a dead body, and when they were buried in a casket, holes were bored into the bottom to facilitate the decomposition.

I have made my wishes known that I insist on cremation. To me, the human body is nothing but a vehicle that carries around the essence of that human, and when it stops working, like a run down car, there is no reason to take up good real estate to bury it.
