Elroy, when I was a little boy in the 1930's one of my uncles

handed me a silver dollar (a Morgan dated 1897, I'll never

forget).

Me and my cousins were making a racket, and the adults wanted

to get us out of the house for awhile. It was probably a

Sunday afternoon. The uncle told me to "get on down to the

drug store for ice cream or something". Off we went. There

were 5 of us, we ran.

I probably squeezed that Morgan a dozen times before it was

spent, and lots of change was left over after paying for all

of our ice cream that day.

That's my 'definition' of real money.....
