Macavity chose a poor term perhaps not thinking too much about it. I agree with him:

The arrow of deflation with its consequences:

Japan -> Germany -> US/UK -> France/Italy

Just plain painful ajustments.

One that boils its frogs slower than most - exceptionally slowly. :0


In the middle of bull markets, corrections (counter-trend moves) are typically short sharp movements associated with extreme emotions. The bull moves are slow gradual and grinding. This is how I see recessions in a secular bear.
