"As usual, you are full of shit. "

Ray
I often find you interesting. But there ARE better ways of saying the above. No one who doesn't agree with you already will listen to anything that starts that way, and you are going to turn off even people on the left (like me). I say this with the best intentions, and only to increase the effectiveness of your own message.

All the best
not trying to be mean
and I don't want to argue

Ray, you nailed the quote, thanks. I did not remember the exact quote - but knew it was something like that.

Hate the game, love the player.

Try to show Brumar some love now Ray lol. At least just tell him he's misinformed, to keep it civil. lol I think he believes what he says - really does - he is just misinformed, so I would agree with your first comment to him (but would have rephrased it ;-) but disagree with your 2nd) He is not sick, just misinformed, like a lot of people I know.

Let's show him how much - and Brumar you keep an open mind OK?

Brumar,

As usual, you are full of shit.

Here's the exact quote from April Glaspie:

we have no opinion on the Arab-Arab conflicts, like your border disagreement with Kuwait.

chss.montclair.edu

Whenever reality doesn't conform to your sick desire to feed your greed, you come up with some cockamamie razzamatazz about "leftwing sites lie".

Montclair College and the New York Times International edition are about as Establishment as it gets. They certainly aren't leftwing sites.

You are one sick man.

Thanks, your link highlighted the section where Glaspie said she hoped the problem could be solved "via Klibi" or Mubarak - i.e. diplomatically, and where she asked his intentions.

Saddam's response was to lie. He spoke of a meeting to be held in Saudi Arabia, followed by deeper discussions in Baghdad, indicating he would settle his differences with Kuwait diplomatically. That was a lie - he planned to invade as shown by the fact that he did so within days of the meeting, without any of the diplomatic meetings he referred to.
