<<Intel set to show off its talent in June

Commentary: Win streak ends, but bull run's not over

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- It takes more than luck to be consistently good.

The more something goes up, the more skeptical investors tend to get. The higher something goes, the more likely it will pull back, and therefore the more investors fear buying.

Intel had a superb May, gaining ground in a Yankee-esque 19 of May's 21 trading sessions. Even more spectacularly, it strung together 13 consecutive wins from May 11 to May 27, surpassing its 1996 streak of 11 straight.

After a run like that, the stock couldn't possibly post a positive June, could it?

While it is very probable that the stock will enter a pullback period at some point in the near future, don't bet on it, as it's not likely to last too long or go too far. In fact, it would not be a surprise if June turns out to be an even stronger month for the stock.
