Re: but I would rather see you be effective

Well, that's two of us then. And what, other than an extreme upsurge in the emotional level of moderates is going to save this nation from fascism?

I've read about the responses of the Communist and trade unionists when Hitler stole the German government, torched the Reichstag (a la the 9/11 false flag operation) and started imposing the Enabling Laws (a la USA PATRIOT Act).

The parallels are chilling.

Especially since the Democratic Party leadership, moderates in general and most of the Left is reacting to Bush in exactly the same way Hitler's political enemies did in the early and mid-1930s. They are being complaisant.

The result for the German Left in Hitler's Germany was to be completely decimated as effective organizations, have their leaders assassinated and have their people scattered to the four winds.

We already have the Bushies assassinating Paul Wellstone. The Bushies have effectively neutered the DLC. How much more do you need to know before you act? How much more do you need to know before you see that complaicency is a tool that Karl Rove and the FEMA/HS/TSA goonsquads use against the people in ever increasing degrees of tyranny?

When do you say that enough is enough? Are you going to be the next Niemoller?

NIEMOLLER, Martin:
"When Hitler attacked the Jews I was not a Jew, therefore I was not concerned. And when Hitler attacked the Catholics, I was not a Catholic, and therefore, I was not concerned. And when Hitler attacked the unions and the industrialists, I was not a member of the unions and I was not concerned. Then Hitler attacked me and the Protestant church — and there was nobody left to be concerned." -- German anti-Nazi activist, Pastor Martin Niemöller
