I cant recall the details, but the program ended sometime toward the end of the 1980's. I used to go out to the farm workers camps and buy their used sugar cane knives. (nothing cuts better for clearing small brush then a sugar cane knife, far better then a machete). Anyhow sometime toward the end of 1980's it shut down, I went out there and there were dozens if not hundreds of knives in an old barrel. I took out 5 of the best. Now its no longer possible to get them, but I got enough to last me the rest of my life. I cleaned them up, sharpened them and use them. jdn
