<<NEW YORK, June 3 (newratings.com) - Analysts at Banc of America Securities maintain their "neutral" rating on Seagate Technology (STX.NYS), while raising their estimates for the company. The target price has been raised from $21 to $23.

In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that the company is continuously benefiting from its strong fundamentals and Hitachi’s low yields in enterprise drives. The analysts believe that Hitachi's low yields would gradually boost Seagate Technology's yields in 2H05. The sales of the one-inch drives in a market where supply/demand is completely balanced will be critical for the company's future results, Banc of America Securities adds. The EPS estimate for 2005 has been raised from $1.27 to $1.32.>>
