Not all of the prisoners who have drifted through Guantanamo or Abu Ghraib or the other prisons we keep for detainees are Al Qaida members

Correct.

or are even involved against the U.S.

I don't have the facts to assent to or challenge this.

Some of them, including some who have died from our torture, are innocent people who were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Can you document any that any detainees have died from our torture? That's a charge I haven't heard made by any reputable organization. It could be true, I suppose, but I would want to verify it before accepting it.

Unless, of course, you think all Muslims are guilty by association or some such thing,

That's a fairly offensive implication to level against a person without any basis for making it. I ask that in the interests of honesty and honor you withdraw it even as a legitimate question to ask me.

That's why we have cleared and released a large number of detainees.
