Geode, you are missing my point. I understand all that. I'm not saying this is as bad as living in Auschwitz with a choice of whether to wait for the gas chamber or walk straight to the electric fence and guns.

I have achieved a high level of freedom, unsurpassed by nearly all living things, so I shouldn't moan too much. But Nirvana, Utopia and Shangri-la beckon and I need to choose one of them.

I am politically active. I don't work. I can emigrate [and did once, well, a couple of times really].

I am not free in many respects. I can't choose to do all sorts of things which create no victims and my money is stolen by force to bribe voters who return the thieves to power to do more of it. They didn't do that decades ago. Bludgers were not so common. Though they did have conscription and other repressions.

I know you can't get it. But there you go. I understand all you said about having choice to take my chances among even worse places, such as outback Afghanistan. I'm wanting things better, not worse.

Now, I'm exercizing my choice to go to a movie, made by somebody who chose to do so, and shown by a company with investors who thought it a good idea to show movies. I hope to get the answer to life, the universe and everything. I won't find it at the local dole-bludger's WINZ store.

Bye,
Mqurice
