Well, I already own two poker rooms, Sportingbet and Cryptologic, so I'm hoping this is the tide that raises all boats. I can't buy London IPOs, but I would buy if I could. I am also looking forward to 888.Com when it comes. And all the rest. This is the original high margin, addiction industry. The only negative is that it is highly competitive and Party has to cut into profits by offering bonuses to keep clients and attract new ones.

Party is great because it has so many games that it takes about ten seconds to get exactly the game, stakes and player number that you want. Nobody else can match that yet. Still, they have some rakes that are higher than average at lower levels and the biz is so profitable that the competition is not standing still. NoblePoker now offers an $800 new player bonus through PokerListings.Com, plus a free-roll tourney, which I just played in and got 6th out of 179. Noble is much, much smaller than Party, but that kind of promotion can attract a lot of Party players to try them out.
