JF, interesting article. From it: France has strict curbs on public religious expression and, according to the poll, 19 percent are atheists. South Korea is the only other nation with that high a percentage of nonbelievers. For South Korea, that may be the Japanese influence, though no Korean would dare admit that. ;-) Speaking of which, funny how Japan was left out of that poll. It's likely that the percentage of atheists in Japan is much higher than any other nation. Tenchusatsu
