It is with merit, then, to point out that the majority of people in the United States do not want to be arrested, yet we maintain a force of over 800,000 policemen and detectives. I am one of those that does not want a policeman in my house. Are they creating criminals. There is a good argument to say that the criminal justice system does in fact do more to create a contact system for criminals than it does to deter crime. Would you suggest we decommission our police departments in America?
