5 signs to look for that will point that the bubble has probably burst:

1. A wall street analyst receives death threats after downgrading the homebuilders.
2. A guy who puts his house for sale is harassed by his neighbors on the block.
3. A guy who listed his house below a previous sale in the neighborhood has his windows broken and tires slashed in his car.
4. CEO of a major realtor warns people not to sell. ( happened already)

5.Jack Kemp warns Alan Greenspan :'Mr. Chairman, keep your hands off the housing industry of America, please,' Kemp said." (already happened)

If you cash out 500K of profits now and invest it in corporate bonds yielding 6%, you have 30K to spend on rent. You could rent a place for 2500/month just from the coupon payments, which means you could rent a comparable place to what you sold.

It seems to me that the harshness and the pace of the rhetoric and animosity are increasing. Also the level of hubris among speculators and realtors is off the charts.

Why would a CEO of the biggest real estate company in New York make disparaging, scolding and sarcastic remarks about people that are considering selling ?
