My mother had a will, the problem was I wasnt 18 and she hadnt appointed a Guardian, so the state did. As usual, the attorney got more then I did, PROTECTING MY INTERESTS. ha. Doesnt matter anymore, I made it on my own and a good part of my success I owe to the USMC that taught me the Discipline I needed to come out on top. Semper Fi. jdn

But losing your childhood treasures when you join the military can't be all that uncommon.

Roger that...I had "100's" of baseball cards, (all collected in the 1950's), a "Stamp Collection" and my 'Mom' gave, or threw away, including pretty much everything I ever owned. All while I was in the Army..I've thought/wondered thru the years.....what a 'rare' gem might have been there $$$$$$$
