I think so.... but this chart puts 1999 into perspective.

We are STILL 68% off the highs of March of 2000 here. You can see that even if we get 10 straight years of decent returns in QQQQ (say, average of 15-20% a year), we will still not likely be where we left off in March of 2000----QQQQ needs to rally at least 215% from current levels.

Realistically, factoring in the very high probability of a major correction of some sort within the next several years, I don't think the Nadaq will see 5000+ levels for another 15 or 20 years, maybe longer.
