I'll go away now Why? We don't send you computer viruses or give you Avian flu. There must have been SOMEconsideration given to troop levels needed- -but they probably thought just through the invasion, NOT what would be needed to occupy and pacify the country. And by then egos and promotions were on the line. And jobs. The SecDef can be canned. A general isn't likely to be court-martialed on such a matter- -I doubt the prosecution could even when that case- -but theirs nothing that says you have to let him re-up.
