I did not use the term as a bench mark for comparison. Some other people did and it was I who first objected. I allowed that if they would consider a dual diagnosis that the application may be applicable. There are people with mental disabilities who have both conditions: limited intellect and psychotic personality. Multiple handicapping conditions are also a possibility. Personality disorders mixed with Psychotic or schizoid conditions are a possibility and without attempting to label anyone here in particular, I also could not eliminate the possibility that such persons post on this thread. I don't consider mental retardation a source of humor. I don't, for example, find comedians who act stupid to be humorous. I like intelligent or tactful comedians like Bill Cosby and Robin Williams who are able to bring light to a difficult or confusing phenomenon of culture. If my attempt to approach the problem here with tact, missed my target, then I apologize to you and any others who may have been offended or harmed by my approach. The fact is much of the stuff that goes on here is beneath the level of intellectual debate that one could expect from the posters who debate political issues, and sometimes it gets quite rank and bizarre here.
