There wont be any draft instituted during this war. The lack of a draft serves as an albatross around a president fighting an unpopular and costly war. To fight these kind of wars we need a French foreign legion or Hessians. (g) By the way, i dont think anyone knew beforehand that afganistan would work out OK and iraq wouldnt. We were always told by the historians that iraqis were the most modern of arabs while we know how primitive things are in afganistan. So lets be fair. Given what you and i knew beforehand, we might have expected robust democracy in iraq before afganistan. mike
