My "freedom" comment was re legalization of mind-altering substances, be it drugs or psychedelic plants. You will have to educate me. To my knowledge, none of the people I know do illegal drugs. OK, let's see: - those who "don't feel like eating" when you are out for dinner before going out nightclubbing - those who wear dark or reflective sunglasses at night, even in a club - those who chew gum in clubs (apparently, amphetamines have the effect of tensing your jaw muscles and chewing helps) - those who don't drink alcohol but stick to water, soft drinks, or energy drinks - those who drink loads of alcohol but just don't get drunk - those who go to the toilet often ... are all most probably on drugs that night. All this I found out during several visits to London where ecstacy/cocaine/etc are very VERY commonly used. Almost everyone was chewing gum & had water bottles in their hands. When I asked for a beer, the bartender asked me "Why would you want to drink alcohol?". It was surreal :-) I just realized going out to parties and dancing 'till dawn is probably not your thing and has not been for a couple of decades, so sorry if these are not relevant -g- Re suicides in the US - You guys are unhappy, what can I say? :-) Another informative statistic would be the increasing use of anti-depressants in the US. Unless you look at suicide rate together with the no of people (even children) prescribed anti-depressants, we will be far from seeing the real picture imho. You begin to see a connection between the stupidity of Clinton in cheering on the bubble and the consequences? Err... all I see is that more and more people find life in the US unbearable :-) That was answered long ago. From that link, I get the feeling that your answer to my question (which you cannot bring yourself to say in as many words) is: "No, zonder, I am definitely not happy with the way Bush has used, and still is using, my tax dollars to invade a country that was no threat to us Americans."
