Maurice Re: "Mq's singing and dancing cyber currency" Seems to me that we already have something like that with the US dollar. How do you propose to structure the issuing authority of your new cybercurrency so that many years from now, long after your passing that your sucessors won't flood the world with the new script and thereby make it worthless?

On your next visit to the US you need to go down to Jekyll Island Georgia where in 1912 that small group of Gilded Age Robber Barrons created the Federal Reserve. Jekyll was their private island, an elaborate country club with each member having his own vacation "cottage", considered to be mansions in those days. All of this has been preserved and the whole island is a state historic site. Very interesting to see. Funny thing though, is that these mostly Victorian styled "cottages" are not as opulent as many a McMansion of today, despite belonging to the richest men in the country.

As far as the dollar went, it seems that as long as the first and maybe second generation Jekyll Island Club members ran the system everything worked fairly well. By the time the third generation came along the rot had set in.
