I think you are missing the point. The point being that the US and its allies can intimidate/"persuade" a number of Arab governments from extensive support of terrorism. If some European countries want to try for an "arrangement" or "entent cordial" with the Arabs, that's pretty much their business.... And by the way, Iran isn't Arab....

Gustave, Re: "Israelization of their country" We Americans don't have any choice in the matter. The US has the worlds largest Jewish population and this wealthy and powerful group demands unlimited US government support for Israel. They express their demands through the major media which is almost completely under their control and ownership and with an influence on the political process that is vastly greater than the insignificant Jewish percentage (about 2%)of the US population would suggest. And all is not peace and harmony between the Christian churches and the Jewish establishment either, though there is maybe less tension than in the past. There is the famous Billy Graham/Richard Nixon tape where Graham is grousing to Nixon about the Jewish takeover of the US media and though Graham was later lambasted as an "anit-semite" for his opinions it seems to me that Graham was expressing reasonable concern about a rival religion gaining an unfair advantage. If all these folk moved to Germany and took over the media and the political process there you Germans would be sending your money to Israel also. Slagle
