Good guys control 14 of 18 provinces and certainly can produce 2 solid anti-terror states. We may one day have to live with a sunni mess in the 4 sunni provinces. Hope that doesnt happen but in war, you dont win every battle. No one is talking here of failure in Kurd and even Shiaa areas. The interesting thing in shiaa areas is that iran has the same interest in stable state if it breaks that way. I don't buy the civil war thingeee. All parties in Iraq are talking and negotiating right now. The terrorist problem in Iraq is being managed, led, manned, and equipped by foreigners AKA non-Iraqis. If we don't kill them in sufficient numbers over there, they will follow us home.
