The French record in Algeria is a very bloody one, a part of their history for which they have officially apologized. Ain't that sweet? You have effectively hired the French Army (for what little it is worth) as your mercenaries. I'm having trouble seeing why you are any more innocent of their acts than I am of the American Army's. What do you want to talk about next - guillotines in the French revolution? Sounds good. A lot of innocent men and women of aristocratic blood had a date with Monsieur Guillotine. How about Lavoisier, the chemist? or how your country was founded on the blood of the local population? Ran a lot of of innocent Tories up to Canada too.
