Market Pulse: Able Labs plunges; co. files for bankruptcy protection
Tuesday July 19, 8:42 am ET
By Michael Baron

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Shares of Able Laboratories dropped 33.5% to 93 cents in pre-market action Tuesday. The move comes after the company filed to reorganize under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code after Monday's closing bell. The company noted that it suspended manufacturing operations and recalled its product line on May 23 due to concerns about laboratory practices, and so it's not generating income or revenue at this time.
