The election in Iraq was a farce. The so-called government cannot even leave the protection of the Green Zone. Even those who voted thought that by doing so, they can make the Americans leave. When they realize that's not gonna happen anytime in their lifetimes, the elections will be but a distant and meaningless memory. At the time of the elections, I said give it 6 months and Iraq will be even more messy than it was then. About three-quarters of the way there, it is pretty clear. Maybe you want to see thousands more of our soldiers killed and maimed before you can see the light, if you ever can.
