Exxon Funnels Millions to Global Warming Skeptics

A new article from Mother Jones magazine tells the story of how Exxon decided to go buy their own "science" after the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change – the gathering of the world’s leading climate scientists - made it clear in 2001 that global warming was a reality and that we are already seeing the impacts. Over the past few years, Exxon has pumped more than $8 million into attacking global warming, including close to $1.4 million to American Enterprise Institute, the right-wing think tank that compares the likelihood of global warming to that of an "alien invasion."

Rest of that article presumably at Mother Jones (I lifted this from Sierra Club).
