I didn't have any idea about the precedent for managing markets either until the SC took up this case. That looks to be a slam-dunk precedent, all other related precedents to the contrary notwithstanding. I think the Supremes could have gotten around it if they wanted to but they didn't want to for whatever reason. Lots of threads running through this.
