The media always reported on the enforcement of the no-fly zones ove Iraq by US and UK. The map of Iraq with the two parallel lines defining the two no-fly zones was a regular fixture. They would also report that some AA batteries (more like Saddam's pea-shooters) were taken out.

The antiwar movement was not fueled by the mass media either in the past or just before the invasion. Of the hundreds of guests that were interviewed by the mass media before the invasion, barely a handful were from the anti-war movement. I think the actual number was 6 out of 894, or something as lopsided as that.
