Your Zionist sources on Hamas are not exactly trustworthy! The Jewish/Zionist lobby has distorted the opposition and used their control in Washington hide the truth intentions of Zionism vis a vis GREATER ISRAEL. The Zionist Jews have to invade more lands and expel more Palestinian in order to achieve their geopolitical/theological objectives. They achieve this by demonizing the victims of their lebensraum expansion.

And Arab governments for the most part are anything BUT tolerant of other religions besides Islam.

That's not all that true. Other than the Sunni/Shia split, religion was never much a factor in ME politics until Israel became a nation state. And if you look at many Arab countries such as Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Syria, Egypt......the level of religious diversity is pretty simlar to many Western nations. In fact, the Ba'ath party that rules Syria and used to rule Iraq was founded by two Christians. I don't know if Bashir of Syria is Christian but there are still Christians in the party.
