You can dance with words as much as you like. The fact is I am concerned with living near an electromagnetic field that can light up fluorescent tubes.

In fact I once made a job choice based on the fact I was near a power line, had young kids, and decided to move.

Yeah, It's OK to live near power lines. I call that "an experiment".
