The religious right are a clear and present danger to democracy and sanity in this country. We bombed the Taliban in Afghanistan but Bush-DElay-Frist want the Christian Taliban to take over the USA. Shame on them. The religious right are pentacostals and other televangelist and ignoirant Dixie confederate type churches, plus kooky Mormon "men in black", with some Catholic extremists thrown in. None of these people are rational or truly believe in the freedom of religion. They are also all militant minorities and by no means represent Christianity, Christ's teachings or God. They just want to dictate their extremist brand of religion and morality on us. Just like The Taliban. The farther they are kept away from our governing bodies the better for democracy and the USA. As George Washington said "The United States is in no sense founded on Christian doctrine." As Thomas Jefferson said "I cannot find in orthodox christianity one redeeming feature" And as Honest Abe said "The Bible is not my book and Christianity is not my religion" Couldn't be any clearer.
