My hunch is that sentiment needs to be segregated into short term (to be defined) and long-term (also to be defined). Some here may be expressing sentiment for the rest of that trading day, others for 1-5 days, etc. and others for 1-3 years or 3 to 5 years, etc. Without knowing more about the time frame, it seems like gobbledygook.

There will be some "patterns" that look meaningful, but will they be shown to be predictive? We'll see.

How to easily view New Subjects?

New Subjects on SI can be used to identify opportunities to to enter new positions in a stock (long or short). With the current SI interface (that I believe is the best ever) it takes me 3 clicks to get from my 'SubjectMarks' to Newly Created Threads. Even then, it is just a list that may not contain anything new to me.

Have you considered something like adding 'New Subjects(x)' to provide a way to view new subjects (since the last time I viewed new subjects) to the links on the title bar? For me, it could replace 'MAIL(x)' or FAQ.

Thanks from a happy member.

How many members does SI have now? How many active (say, > 1 post/day)?

This place is perfect. Navigation is simple, and one can now find anything that they head out for.

I can't imagine a more convenient venue. You've done for chat what Google has done for mail.
