The problem - Bush really did cut EVERYONE's taxes. The harm is he's paid for it with public debt. Ask any right-wingut why they love Bush, and they'll say - he CUT my taxes. In a way, what Bush has done is rob the future to reward the super-rich in the present, and toss a bone to everyone else. They imagine it'll just take care of itself as we "grow" out of it. It's Reagan-era Voodoo economics revisited. But really, even Bush doesn't believe it. He just knows he won't be around to have to bite the bullet and pay it off. In the meantime, it buys him the support of the magical thinking right wingnut poor working shlubs.
